Indian National Zoo

Today we went to the National Zoo in Delhi. We had a great time. We saw several white tigers, a jaguar, elephants, giraffes with a baby, a hippo family with a baby, and lots of monkeys. The thing about the monkeys in the zoo in India is that they are not in cages! Another thing about monkeys is that they love ice cream! There was a bunch of monkeys stealing ice cream cones at the zoo. One was eating 2 cones at once. The monekys were trying to steal cones from little kids. Some people were just throwing their cones at the monkeys to get them to stay away. We had some chips for a snack (instead of ice cream). We threw the empty bag in a can marked "Use Me - Dustbin." But the bag just fell through to the ground. There was no bottom to the dustbin. We are surprised everyday by things in India!
Audrey took this great photo of a Jaguar.

That looks like an awesome zoo! Artie wants to know the name of the girl in your blog photo. He liked seeing the close-up picture of Evan. He had a big smile on his face when he saw it.

Dear Audrey,
It is so cool that you went to the zoo. I am surprised that the monkeys were not in cages and liked ice cream! Were they running around like maniacs in the zoo? Do you have allot of homework? Does you cook cook yummy meals?

The monkeys in the zoo are not in cages because they are wild here, kind of like squirrels at home. But there are not that many and they ususally try and keep them away from housing areas because they can be agressive. Like with the ice cream! We saw a bunch of peacocks today alongside the highway.

We get about as much homework here as at Lee. Audrey is practicing daily for a school Sports Day program. She is doing a foot aerobics routine.

Indu, our cook, makes pretty good food. She tries to make us western food, but sometimes its a little strange. Like the other day she made us a peanut butter and cheese sandwich.
